The Hudson River Greenway (HRG) is one of New York's most popular public green streets and a great place to walk, jog, ride, jog, cycle or jog along the Hudson River and its tributaries. The park is the second largest greenway in the USA after Grand Central Parkway and the fourth largest in New York. It is home to more than 2,000 hectares of green space and over 1,500 trees and plants.

The Mamaroneck Beach Yacht Club is located in the outer harbor, the largest private yacht club in New York City. There are numerous private yacht clubs in the area, including Sheldrake Beach and Point Orienta, but the only club open to non-members is Mamarecks Beach Yacht Club.
In addition to Larchmont and Mamaroneck, the transportation area also includes the Chappaqua Central School District and the Pleasantville Union Free School District. Most of Pleasant County is served by the Pleasant Union Free School District, while a small portion of northern Pleasant is served by the Chappqua Central School District and a smaller portion by Mamarick's Central School District.
